Komtar Skywalk

The Komtar Skywalk is an outdoor glass observation deck located at the top of the Komtar building, the tallest structure in George Town. Visitors go here to walk across a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge and view the city layout from a height of nearly 250 meters.

The attraction is located within the city centre of George Town. Since it is situated inside the Komtar complex, it is accessible via local buses, taxis, or ride-sharing services. Travel time from most central hotels is typically under 15 minutes.

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours for the experience. This includes the time required for the elevator ascent, walking across the glass bridge, and observing the city from the deck.

When to Visit

Visiting during the late afternoon allows for views of the city in daylight and during sunset. The deck can get crowded, particularly on weekends and public holidays. Because it is an outdoor platform, weather conditions can affect the experience.
