Nurana Islands

The Nurana Islands are two artificial islands located east of Northern City, approximately 9 km west of Manama. Visitors go here to see the distinctive man-made terrain and the coastal landscape created by the land reclamation projects.

Getting There

The islands are accessible by car from Manama city centre. The drive typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Duration of Visit

A visit to these islands is generally short. Most travellers allow 1 to 2 hours to observe the terrain and the surrounding waters.

When to Visit

Due to the coastal location and Bahrain's climate, visiting during the cooler winter months is advisable. Early morning or late afternoon is preferred to avoid the midday heat. There are no specific peak crowds reported, but weekends may see more local traffic.
