Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Located in the Old City of Jerusalem, this historic Christian church is known in Eastern churches as the Church of the Resurrection. Travelers visit this site because it is traditionally identified as the location of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, housing both the site of Golgotha and the empty tomb.

The church is situated within the Christian Quarter of the Old City. Since the Old City is a pedestrian zone, visitors typically arrive by walking from the city center or the nearest city gates. Depending on your starting point, the walk usually takes between 10 to 20 minutes.

Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to explore the interior. The layout is complex, with multiple chapels and shrines, and queues for specific areas can be long.
