About the Museum

MOCAK (Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków) displays post-war and modern art across several exhibition spaces. Opened in 2011, the building stands on the site of Oskar Schindler's former enamel factory in the Zabłocie district. People visit to see permanent collections and rotating international shows focused on visual arts and contemporary culture.

Getting There

Located roughly 3 kilometers from the city centre, the site can be reached by tram in about 15 to 20 minutes. Walking from central Kraków takes roughly 35 to 40 minutes.

When to Go

The galleries become busier on weekend afternoons and during exhibition openings. Weekday mornings offer the least crowded experience. Being entirely indoors, it is suitable to visit in all seasons.
