El Paraíso Archaeological Site

Located in the Chillón Valley north of Lima, El Paraíso is a Pre-Ceramic archaeological site dating from approximately 3500 to 1800 BC. Spanning over 58 hectares, it represents one of the largest early settlements of its era. Travelers visit this site to see the early architectural remains and understand the prehistoric urban organization of the region before the development of ceramics.

Getting There

The site is situated on the outskirts of the city. From Lima's city center, the most direct way to reach the ruins is by taxi or ride-sharing service. The journey typically takes between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the city's traffic conditions.

Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to walk through the site and observe the structural layouts of the ancient settlement.
