Getting There

Located on the East Bank along the Nile Corniche, the building is a 15- to 20-minute walk from central Luxor. Local taxis and horse carriages from the city centre take roughly 5 minutes.

When to Visit

The winter season from October to April offers the mildest weather. The indoor galleries are air-conditioned, making midday or afternoon visits practical. Large tour groups often visit in the mid-morning and late afternoon, which can make the halls crowded.
