Qal‘at Bū Māhir
Qal‘at Bū Māhir
Located in Halat Bu Maher, this fort is a historical site designated in 2012 as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Pearling Path. Visitors go here to learn about the history of the pearl industry and the coastal fortifications of Bahrain.
Getting There
The fort is accessible from Manama city centre via taxi or rental car. The drive typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

When to Visit
Visit during the cooler months from November to March to avoid the extreme heat of the summer. Early morning or late afternoon is recommended for outdoor exploration. The site does not typically experience the same level of crowding as the main city museums.
