Île d’If is a small, uninhabited island covering approximately 3.3 hectares located off the coast of Marseille. Visitors go there to explore the island's natural landscape and visit the historic fortress located on the site. The experience consists of a boat crossing and a walk around the island's perimeter.
Getting There
The island is accessible via boat shuttles departing from the Old Port (Vieux-Port) in the city centre. The trip is short, typically taking a few dozen minutes depending on the boat service used.
