Għajn Tuffieħa is a red-sand beach located on the western coast of Malta. Travelers visit this location for its natural landscape and a quieter atmosphere compared to the neighboring Golden Bay. The site features a coastal tower situated on the cliffs, providing views of the Mediterranean. Access to the shoreline requires descending approximately 200 steps.

Getting There

The beach is located near Mosta. From the center of Mosta, it is a short drive of approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Public buses serve the area, though the final stretch involves walking from the bus stop to the cliff edge before descending the stairs.

Duration of Visit

Allow 3 to 5 hours for a visit. This provides enough time to descend and ascend the stairs, spend time on the beach, and walk to the cliff-top tower.

When to Visit

The beach is most accessible during the spring and autumn months when temperatures are moderate. During the peak summer season, the area becomes crowded. Visiting in the early morning is recommended to avoid the midday heat and the largest crowds.
