St. Agatha's Tower

St. Agatha's Tower is a 17th-century watchtower located on the coast of Malta. It was the final tower built as part of the Lascaris fortifications system. Visitors go here to see the architecture of old defensive structures and to view the surrounding coastline from an elevated position.

Getting There

The tower is located in the northwestern part of the island. From the center of Mosta, you can reach the site via local bus or taxi. The journey typically takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Visit Duration

Allow roughly 1 to 2 hours to explore the tower and the immediate surrounding area. This provides enough time to walk around the fortification and observe the coastal views.

When to Visit

Visiting during the early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat, as the site is exposed. The shoulder seasons of spring and autumn offer milder temperatures. The site generally does not experience the same level of crowding as the main city centers.
