Arrival and Transportation

From Larnaca International Airport (LCA): Nicosia does not have its own airport. The most direct way to reach the city is via the intercity bus service or a pre-arranged taxi. The journey typically takes 45 to 60 minutes.

Getting Around: Once inside Nicosia, the Walled City is best explored on foot. For longer distances to the modern center or suburbs, taxis and ride-sharing apps are the most reliable options. Public buses exist but are less frequent for tourist-specific routes.

• Assuming a Single City: Visitors often forget that the city is split. To cross from the Republic of Cyprus (South) to North Nicosia, you must carry a valid passport and pass through a designated checkpoint.
