The National Mint of Bolivia is a museum complex housed in a colonial-era mint where Spanish silver coins were once produced. Travellers visit to see preserved wooden coin-minting machinery, historical coin collections, colonial paintings, and exhibits explaining how silver mined from the region was transformed into currency.

The site is located in the historic centre of Potosí. From Plaza 10 de Noviembre, it is accessible on foot in approximately one to two minutes, requiring no vehicle transit from the main square.

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for a visit. Exploring the interior courtyards, machinery rooms, and archival galleries requires sufficient time to walk through the multi-level complex.

Mornings are ideal for joining guided tours before visitor numbers increase later in the day. The dry season between May and October provides stable weather, though the stone interior remains chilly year-round, making warm clothing necessary.
