Overview

Troja Palace is a Baroque residence situated in Prague's Troja district, northwest of the city center. Built for the Count Šternberk family, it houses the Prague City Gallery's collection of 19th-century Czech art. Travellers visit to examine the exterior sculpture staircase depicting mythological figures, preserved interior frescoes, and formal French gardens.

Getting There

From the city centre, take Metro Line C to Nádraží Holešovice, then transfer to bus 112 directly to the destination. The transit journey takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes.

Time to Allow

Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours to walk through the interior exhibitions and the surrounding grounds.

When to Go

Spring and summer are best for exploring the gardens. Weekdays are generally calm, while weekends see heavier foot traffic due to visitors heading to neighbouring sites.
