Cap Diamant is the promontory upon which Quebec City is built. It is formed at the confluence of the Saint Lawrence River and the Saint-Charles River. Travelers visit this site to observe the layout of the city and the surrounding river valley from an elevated vantage point.
Getting There
Because the city is built directly onto the cape, you are already on it when visiting the historic center. Accessing the cliffside viewpoints from the main downtown areas takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes on foot.

Depending on whether you are walking the perimeter or simply stopping at a specific lookout, allow 1 to 2 hours to explore the various viewpoints along the ridge.
When to Visit
