What It Is

The Andalusian wall is a historic rampart that marks the southern boundary of Rabat's medina. Visitors go to walk along the structure, observe its traditional construction, and take in views over the medina streets.

Getting There

Located on the edge of the medina, the rampart is accessible on foot from downtown Rabat. Walking from the city centre takes about 10 to 15 minutes, while a local taxi ride takes roughly 5 minutes.

Time to Allow

Allow 30 to 45 minutes to walk along the accessible sections and view the architecture.

When to Go

Early morning and late afternoon are the practical times to visit to avoid direct midday sun, as there is little shade along the path. Foot traffic along the base increases around dusk, but the site does not get heavily crowded by tour groups.
