Oudaya museum
About the Museum
The Oudaya Museum is a dedicated jewelry museum set within a restored historic residence inside the Kasbah of the Udayas, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors come to view collections of Moroccan jewelry and walk through the adjoining Andalusian-style garden.
Getting There
Located on the northern edge of central Rabat, the kasbah is reachable from the city centre in roughly 15 to 20 minutes on foot. A local petit taxi from downtown takes under 10 minutes depending on traffic.
Suggested Duration
Allow 1 to 2 hours for a visit. This provides enough time to browse the jewelry galleries and spend time in the garden grounds.
When to Visit
Visiting in the morning or later in the afternoon helps avoid the largest tour groups and midday heat. Peak tourist crowds are common on weekends and throughout the spring and autumn travel seasons.
