Ramallah
Ramallah, seat of the Palestinian Authority headquarters, serves as the de facto administrative capital and lies about 15 km north of Jerusalem. Located on the route between Bethlehem and Nablus, it makes a good base for touring several West Bank cities together.

Sheikh Jarrah
Sheikh Jarrah is a historic neighborhood north of Jerusalem's Old City, on the way to Mount Scopus. Formed in the 19th century, it has long been known as home to prominent local families.

Jerusalem Chords Bridge
This cable-stayed bridge was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, and Jerusalem's light rail has run across it since 2011. It also has a glass pedestrian walkway, so you can cross it on foot.

Gibeon is the site of an ancient Canaanite city near Jerusalem. This historic place, also mentioned in the Bible, preserves ancient traces near the village of Al-Jib.

Israel's largest cemetery, located on a hillside west of Jerusalem, has continued to expand since it was established in 1951. From the top of the hill, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding area.
