Krishna Temple, Rawalpindi
Overview
Krishna Temple is an active Hindu place of worship in the Saddar area of Rawalpindi, located between the railway station and Kabari Bazaar. As one of the few functioning Hindu temples remaining in the region, it serves the local Hindu community and offers travellers an opportunity to observe surviving regional religious heritage and traditional temple architecture.
Getting There
Situated in central Saddar, the site is easily reached by taxi or auto-rickshaw. From the Rawalpindi Railway Station area, the drive takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes. From Islamabad International Airport (ISB), expect a drive of 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic.

Plan for 30 to 45 minutes. The grounds are compact, giving ample time to view the structure and courtyard respectfully.
When to Visit
Morning and late afternoon offer the best light and moderate temperatures. The cooler months between October and March are ideal for travelling in the region. The temple gets crowded during major religious festivals like Diwali and Holi, as well as during evening prayers.
