The Hawkesworth Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the Macal River, serving as the primary link between the twin towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena. It is the only suspension bridge in Belize designed to accommodate vehicle traffic. Travelers visit the bridge to cross the river and observe the surrounding landscape of the Cayo District.
