Nahorevo
Overview
Nahorevo is a settlement in the Centar municipality of Sarajevo, situated in the hills north of the city. Travelers go to experience the suburban countryside or use it as a transit point toward walking trails in the surrounding hills.
Getting There
The area is roughly 20 to 30 minutes from downtown Sarajevo by road. It is reachable by municipal bus from the city center, taxi, or private vehicle heading north.
Time to Allow
Set aside 30 to 60 minutes for a short walk through the village. Allow 2 to 4 hours if using the location as a starting point for uphill hikes.
When to Visit
Spring through autumn offers the best conditions for outdoor walking. Morning or early afternoon visits provide ample daylight. The area does not get crowded on weekdays, though local visitors increase on sunny weekends.
