Deoksugung Palace

Located in the Jeong-dong area of Seoul, this site served as a palace for the Joseon dynasty and later the Korean Empire. It is distinct from other royal palaces in the city because it contains a blend of traditional Korean wooden architecture and Western-style stone buildings, reflecting the transition into the modern era.
