The island is accessible from Seoul city centre via the Seoul Metropolitan Subway, primarily using Line 5 or Line 9. Depending on the starting point in the centre, the journey typically takes 20 to 40 minutes.

A visit to the riverside areas and the main park usually requires 3 to 5 hours. Those intending to visit the surrounding commercial buildings or the 63 Building may need a full day.

When to Visit

The area is popular during the spring for seasonal blooms and in the autumn for the foliage. It becomes very crowded during these peak seasons and on weekends. Visiting during weekday mornings is recommended to avoid the largest crowds.
