Independence Park
Independence Park
Located in the center of Shymkent, this public park was opened in 2011 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence. Visitors come here to walk through landscaped flower beds and view the Altyn Shanyrak monument, a structure composed of 137 metal sculptures. The grounds also feature singing fountains.

The park is situated within the city center. Depending on your specific starting point, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk. Travel time from central areas typically takes less than 10 to 15 minutes.

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk the main paths, view the monument, and observe the fountains.
When to Visit
The park is most active during the evening when the fountains are operational. Spring and autumn are the most temperate seasons for walking. Be aware that the area becomes crowded during public holidays and weekends.
