Shymkent Zoo is an established zoological park in southern Kazakhstan set across spacious outdoor grounds. Visitors go to observe a broad selection of wildlife, including regional species and several endangered animals, housed in open-air habitats and enclosures.

Located north of central Shymkent, the site can be reached from the city centre by local bus routes or taxi. A typical taxi ride from central areas takes roughly 15 to 25 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
