Prasat Suor Prat

Located on the east side of the royal square in Angkor Thom, this site consists of twelve towers built from laterite and sandstone. The structures are aligned from north to south, flanking the road that leads to the Victory Gate. While their exact historical purpose remains unknown, they stand as a distinct architectural feature positioned directly in front of the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

Getting There

The site is located within the Angkor Archaeological Park, a short distance from Siem Reap city centre. Most visitors reach the area via tuk-tuk or bicycle. Depending on traffic and the specific starting point in the city, the journey typically takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Visit Duration

Because the towers are arranged in a linear row and occupy a relatively small area, visitors generally spend 20 to 40 minutes here to walk the length of the site and observe the structures.

Timing and Crowds

To avoid the midday heat, it is advisable to visit in the early morning or late afternoon. The site can get crowded during the peak tourist season, as it is situated along the main path between other major monuments in Angkor Thom.
