Preah Pithu

Preah Pithu is a group of five temples located within the Angkor Archaeological Park. Visitors go here to see weathered stone structures and detailed carvings set within a forested environment. Unlike the larger monuments in the complex, these temples offer a quieter atmosphere and a closer look at early Khmer architectural styles.

Getting There

The site is located a few kilometers from Siem Reap city centre. Most travellers reach the area via tuk-tuk or rented scooter. The journey typically takes 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic and the specific starting point in town.

Duration of Visit

Because the site consists of a small cluster of temples, most visitors spend between 30 and 60 minutes exploring the grounds and photographing the carvings.

When to Visit

Early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat. The dry season (November to April) provides the most stable weather for walking through the forested area. This site generally receives fewer crowds than the primary Angkor temples.
