Place Kléber
Place Kléber is the largest public square in Strasbourg and serves as the hub of the city's commercial district. Visitors go here can see the statue of General Jean-Baptiste Kléber and the 18th-century Aubette building. It is a central meeting point and a primary location for city events and seasonal markets.
Getting There
The square is located in the heart of the city centre. Most visitors arriving by tram or on foot from the main shopping streets will find it within a few minutes' walk. If arriving from the EuroAirport (BSL), shuttle buses or trains connect to the city centre, followed by a short walk to the square.
Suggested Duration
Depending on the purpose of the visit, allow 30 to 60 minutes to walk across the square and view the monuments. If visiting during a festival or market, more time may be required.
When to Visit
The square is active throughout the day. It becomes very crowded during the winter season due to the Christmas markets and during major public holidays. To avoid the largest crowds, visit on weekday mornings.
