What It Is

The Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art houses collections of paintings, sculptures, graphic art, and multimedia works dating from 1870 to the present. Founded in 1973 and located in its current building since November 1998, it displays modern art movements and rotating contemporary exhibitions along the River Ill.

Getting There

The venue sits just southwest of the city centre. From central Strasbourg or the main railway station, walking takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Local tram lines stop adjacent to the building, taking under 10 minutes from central hubs.

Plan for 1.5 to 2.5 hours to tour the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.
