Noordeinde Palace
Overview
Noordeinde Palace is an official Dutch royal residence in central The Hague. Serving as the working palace for the monarch since 2013, it offers visitors a view of classical royal architecture and the public Palace Garden behind it. As an active administrative workplace, viewing is centered on the building's exterior, gates, and grounds.
Getting There
Located in the city centre, the palace is a 5- to 10-minute walk from the main shopping quarter. From The Hague Central Station, local trams arrive nearby in about 10 minutes, or you can walk there directly in 15 to 20 minutes.
Time to Allow
Plan for 20 to 30 minutes. This provides sufficient time to view the facade, courtyard gates, and take a brief stroll through the adjacent garden.
When to Visit
Visit during daylight hours to see the architectural details clearly. The street experiences regular pedestrian and cyclist traffic, especially on weekend afternoons, but does not usually suffer from heavy overcrowding. Mornings are best for quiet viewing.
