The Rotunda

The Rotunda is a circular masonry structure in Thessaloniki that originally served as the mausoleum for the Roman Emperor Galerius. Over the centuries, it has functioned as a Roman temple, a Christian church, and a mosque. Visitors go to see the transition of these architectural styles and the remaining mosaics within the interior.

The site is located within the city center. From the central pedestrian areas, it is accessible via a short walk or a local bus ride, typically taking 10 to 15 minutes depending on your starting point.
