Located on the road between Thimphu and Punakha, this Himalayan mountain pass features 108 memorial chortens and a temple dedicated to fallen soldiers. Travelers visit the site for the architectural layout of the stupas and the views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas when weather conditions permit visibility.
Getting There
The pass is situated outside the Thimphu city center. Access is typically by car or taxi via the main road leading toward Punakha. The drive from the center of Thimphu generally takes about one hour, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Most visitors spend between one and two hours at the pass. This allows time to walk among the chortens, visit the temple, and observe the mountain range.
