Originally commissioned as a residence for King Zog I, this estate now serves as the official residence of Albania's president. Travellers visit to see its mid-20th-century architecture and landscaped grounds, reflecting key chapters in Albania's modern history.

Getting There

Situated in southern Tirana, the site is reachable from the city centre in 10 to 15 minutes by taxi. Walking south from central Tirana takes roughly 35 minutes, while local buses take about 20 minutes.

Time to Spend

Plan for 45 minutes to an hour to view the exterior architecture and stroll the surrounding parkland.

When to Go

Mornings and late afternoons offer the most comfortable conditions, especially during hot summer days. Spring and autumn bring pleasant weather for walking outside. Crowds are rare, though access may be restricted during official state events.
