Al Haoua Mosque

The Al Haoua Mosque is a historic religious site in Tunis, originally constructed in the 13th century during the Hafsid dynasty. It underwent significant renovations in the 18th century under the Husainid dynasty. Visitors go here to observe the architectural evolution of Tunisian mosques and to see a site officially recognized as a historic monument of the country.

The mosque is located within the Medina of Tunis. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short walk through the pedestrian streets of the old city. Depending on your starting point in the centre, the walk typically takes between 10 and 20 minutes.
