Overview

The Mosque of Petit Pacha is an Islamic building located in the western part of the Medina of Tunis. Built during the Husainid dynasty, it is a small historic site that travelers visit while walking the narrow alleys to observe traditional local architecture.

Getting There

From central Tunis, walking to the western Medina takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes. Because the old town is pedestrianised, taxis can only drop passengers at the perimeter, leaving a brief walk to the site.

Allow around 15 to 30 minutes. Because of its small size, viewing the exterior and the surrounding lane takes only a short stop.

When to Visit

Mornings are best to avoid afternoon heat and heavier foot traffic in the Medina. Spring and autumn offer comfortable walking temperatures. Modest dress is advised in religious areas.
