Overview

Würznerhorn is a 1,713-meter mountain in the Rätikon range on the border of Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Travellers go there for mountain hiking and elevated views over the Rhine Valley and surrounding peaks.

Getting There

From central Vaduz, travel south to Balzers by car or public bus in about 15 minutes. From Balzers, marked trails lead to the peak. The hike up requires roughly 3 to 4 hours of steady climbing.

Time to Spend

Plan for 5 to 7 hours total to cover the round-trip hike and allow time at the summit.

When to Visit

Visit between late spring and autumn when trails are generally free of snow. Morning departures are recommended to avoid midday heat and unpredictable alpine weather. The peak is rarely crowded, though local trail use rises on sunny weekends.
