Malta Maritime Museum
Overview
The Malta Maritime Museum is housed in an 1840s building once used as a bakery for the Mediterranean fleet. It holds a collection of more than 20,000 items tracing the region's maritime history from prehistoric times to the present. Visitors go to examine historical navigation equipment, scale vessel models, and artefacts documenting seafaring and naval operations across the centuries.

From central Valletta, the quickest option is crossing the Grand Harbour via local ferry or traditional water taxi to the waterfront, taking about 10 to 15 minutes. Alternatively, traveling overland by public bus or taxi takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes depending on road traffic.
