Brockton Point

Located at the eastern tip of Stanley Park, this headland features a historic lighthouse and a collection of hand-carved totem poles representing various First Nations from British Columbia. Visitors go here to view these cultural monuments and observe the ocean views from a section of the Vancouver Seawall.

Getting There

From Vancouver city centre, you can reach the area by bicycle or public transit. A ride or walk from the downtown core typically takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the mode of transport and the specific starting point.

Time Allocation

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk the perimeter of the point, view the totem poles, and visit the lighthouse.

When to Visit

The site is open year-round. Morning or late afternoon visits provide different lighting for photography of the coast. Because it is a primary section of the Seawall, it becomes crowded with tourists and joggers during summer weekends and public holidays.

Nearby Attractions

The location is well-positioned for combining with other nearby sites:

  • Vancouver Aquarium (1km)
  • Coal Harbour (1.1km)
  • Rogers Tower (1.4km)
  • Granville Square (1.6km)
