Ramayana Water Park

What it is

Ramayana Water Park is a large water park south of Pattaya, built around slides, pools, and a wave pool area. It's a straightforward day out for families or groups wanting slides and water rides rather than cultural sightseeing, and it's sized more like a regional theme park than a small hotel pool complex.

Getting there

The park sits about 15 kilometers south of central Pattaya, roughly a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic. Most visitors arrive by taxi, songthaew, or a hotel/park shuttle; there's no direct public bus route, so a metered taxi or ride-hailing app is the simplest option. Coming from Bangkok, it's about a 2-hour drive, with Suvarnabhumi (BKK) as the main arrival airport.

Time to allow

Plan on at least half a day, roughly 4-5 hours, to make use of the slides and pools without rushing. A full day works if you want to alternate between rides and relaxing by the water.

When to go

Go on a weekday if possible, since weekends and Thai public holidays draw larger crowds and longer waits for slides. Mornings tend to be quieter than afternoons. Being an outdoor park, it's also worth checking the weather, as heavy rain can disrupt a visit.

Combining with nearby sights

  • Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden (3.6km) — close enough to pair as a half-day-plus-half-day combination.
  • Viharn Sien (4.1km) — a short trip away if you want a calmer, cultural stop before or after the water park.
  • Ko Klet Kaeo (12.9km) and Pattaya Floating Market (14.4km) — both further out, better suited to a separate trip rather than the same day.
