Gate of Taipei
Taipei Twins
Taipei Twins
Taipei Twins is a two-tower skyscraper complex under construction near Taipei Station, with completion planned for 2028. The taller tower is designed to reach 360 metres over 70 floors, which would make it the second-tallest building in Taiwan once finished, behind Taipei 101. The shorter tower is planned at 280 metres and 53 floors. Until it opens, there isn't an observation deck, retail floor, or public area to visit — for now this is a site to view from the street rather than enter, and worth watching as the skyline here changes over the next few years.
Getting there
The site sits right by Taipei Station, so it's reachable on foot from the station in a few minutes, or a short walk from Shin Kong Life Tower and Taipei Bus Station nearby. If you're coming from elsewhere in the city, any MRT or rail line running through Taipei Main Station gets you within easy walking distance.
How long to spend
Since the towers are still being built, there's little to do on site beyond a quick look at the construction progress — 10 to 15 minutes is enough unless you're specifically tracking the build.
When to go
There's no particular time of day or season that matters here, since this is a construction site rather than a visitor attraction. It's not a place that gets crowded on its own, though the surrounding Taipei Station area is busy with commuters, especially during rush hour.
Combine with nearby sights
Because the towers aren't yet open to visit, it makes more sense as a brief stop on the way to other attractions rather than a destination itself. Nearby options include:
- Shin Kong Life Tower (0.4km) — right next door
- MoCA Taipei (0.7km) — a short walk away
- National Taiwan Museum (0.7km)
- 228 Peace Memorial Park (0.8km) — good for combining with the museum visit
