Prasat Suor Prat

Located east of the Royal Square in Angkor Thom, this site consists of twelve towers constructed from laterite and sandstone. The structures are arranged in three rows of four, aligned from north to south. These towers flank the road leading to the Victory Gate and sit positioned before the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Visitors come here to observe the architectural layout and the remaining stone carvings of these historic towers.

Getting There

The site is located within the Angkor Archaeological Park. From Siem Reap city centre, most travellers use a remork (tuk-tuk) or a hired vehicle. The journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic and the specific starting point in the city.

Visit Duration

Because the site is a compact group of towers, most visitors spend between 30 and 60 minutes exploring the area.

When to Visit

Early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat. During the peak tourist season, the Angkor Thom area can become crowded, particularly along the main roads leading to the gates.
