Tep Pranam

Tep Pranam is a religious site located within the Angkor archaeological park. It is characterized by a large seated Buddha figure carved from sandstone. Unlike many of the surrounding ruins, this site remains an active place of worship and is frequently visited by pilgrims.

Getting There

The site is located in the Angkor area, accessible from Siem Reap city centre via tuk-tuk or motorbike. The journey typically takes 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic and the specific starting point in the city.

Duration of Visit

Because the site is focused on a single primary monument, most visitors spend between 30 and 60 minutes here.

When to Visit

Visiting during the early morning or late afternoon helps avoid the midday heat. The dry season is generally preferred for easier navigation of the park. While less crowded than the primary Angkor Wat complex, it still attracts regular pilgrims and tourists.

Nearby Attractions

Due to its location, this site can be combined with several other monuments within walking distance:

  • Terrace of the Leper King (0.2km)
  • Khleangs (0.3km)
  • Terrace of the Elephants (0.3km)
  • Prasat Suor Prat (0.4km)
