Lankarama

Lankarama is an ancient Buddhist stupa located in Anuradhapura, built by King Valagamba. The site consists of a central dome surrounded by rows of stone pillars, which indicate the layout of the original structure. Visitors go here to observe the architectural remains of the ancient kingdom and walk through the ruins.

Getting There

The site is located within the ancient city complex of Anuradhapura. From the city centre, it is accessible via tuk-tuk or bicycle. The journey typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on the specific starting point and traffic.
