This archaeological site dates back to the Chalcolithic era and provides evidence of early copper production and trade. Visitors go here to see the remains of ancient industrial activity and settlement patterns from one of the region's earliest civilizations.

Getting There

The site is located approximately 4 km north of Aqaba city centre. It is most easily reached by taxi or rental car, with a travel time of roughly 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.

Duration of Visit

Most visitors spend between 1 and 2 hours exploring the ruins and observing the traces of the ancient copper works.

When to Visit

Due to the open nature of the site and the desert climate, visiting during the early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid peak heat. The cooler winter months are the most comfortable season for exploration. The site generally does not experience heavy crowds.
