What it is

Anjo World is an amusement park in Minglanilla, on the southern edge of metropolitan Cebu. It's the main large-scale theme park in the Visayas region, with a mix of rides, roller coasters, and family attractions spread across the grounds. It's a straightforward choice if you're travelling with kids or just want a day of rides rather than beaches or heritage sites.

Getting there

Anjo World sits in Minglanilla, south of Cebu City. From the city centre, expect a drive of roughly 30 to 45 minutes by car or taxi, depending on traffic, since the route runs through some congested stretches before reaching Minglanilla. Ride-hailing apps and taxis are the easiest option; public jeepneys also connect Cebu City to Minglanilla but will take longer and may require a transfer.

How much time to allow

Plan for at least half a day, around 3 to 5 hours, to work through the main rides and attractions without rushing. Families with young children or anyone wanting to try most of the rides more than once should budget closer to a full day.

When to go

Weekends, Philippine holidays, and school breaks bring larger crowds and longer queues, so a weekday visit is more comfortable if your schedule allows it. As with most outdoor parks in Cebu, the dry season (roughly November to April) offers more reliable conditions, while afternoons in the rainy months can bring sudden downpours that pause outdoor rides.

Combine it with

  • Crocolandia Foundation (3.7km) is close enough to pair with Anjo World in the same day, especially if travelling with kids interested in wildlife.
  • Archdiocesan Shrine of Santa Teresa de Avila (5.3km) works as a shorter stop if you want to break up the day with a heritage site.
  • Carbon Market (11.8km) and the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (12km) are further out, better suited to a separate trip into central Cebu City rather than combining directly with the park.
