Daegu
Daegu is an inland metropolitan city in southeastern South Korea that served as the administrative center of Gyeongsang Province during the Joseon dynasty. It grew into a textile industry hub in modern times and served as a temporary capital during the Korean War.

Gyesan Cathedral
Gyesan Cathedral stands at Gyesan-ogeori in Jung-gu, Daegu, serving as the seat of the Archdiocese of Daegu. It has held this status since 1911, making it a place steeped in history.

Daegu National Museum
A national museum in Suseong-gu, Daegu, opened in 1994 to showcase the region's history and culture. It's a good place to see artifacts and exhibits from Daegu.

Choejeongsan
Standing 905 meters high in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, this mountain has a gently sloping plateau reminiscent of Daegwallyeong, giving it an exotic feel. It's the only place in Daegu where highland farming and grazing take place, offering scenery unlike anywhere else in the city.

Seomun Market
Seomun Market is Daegu's foremost traditional market, with a history dating back to the Joseon dynasty. Around 4,000 shops, many specializing in fabrics and textiles, make it a great place to browse and shop.

Dalseong Park
Dalseong Park was built on the site of the old Dalseong earthen fortress, letting visitors stroll among traces of its ancient walls. Located right in the heart of downtown Daegu, it's an easy place to drop by.

Apsan
Apsan is a mountain rising about 660 meters south of Daegu, designated a park in 1971 and cherished as a resting place for locals. It's a fine spot to walk the ridge and take in views over downtown Daegu.

A low, gently sloping mountain in downtown Daegu, lit up at night nearly to the summit, making it pleasant for an evening walk. With exercise facilities and rest areas along the trails, it's an urban retreat perfect for a light stroll and relaxation.
