Tiên Sơn Bridge
What it is
Tiên Sơn Bridge is a functional road crossing over the Han River, opened in 2004. It's a prestressed concrete box girder bridge stretching 529 metres, linking Tien Sa Port with National Road 14B. There's no dedicated visitor infrastructure here — this is a working piece of city infrastructure rather than a landmark built for tourism, so the appeal is mainly the river view and photos, particularly of the water and the other bridges lining the Han.
Getting there
From central Da Nang, the bridge is a short taxi, ride-hailing, or motorbike trip, generally under 15 minutes depending on traffic and starting point. It's also walkable or cyclable along the riverside road if you're already near the Han River bridges.
How much time to allow
Fifteen to thirty minutes is enough for most travellers — time to cross on foot or by bike, take in the river views, and get a few photos. It's a stop to pair with other riverside spots rather than a destination in itself.
When to go
Early morning or around sunset tend to offer the most comfortable temperatures and better light for photos. Traffic across the bridge can pick up during commuting hours, so midday and rush periods are worth avoiding if you're on foot. It isn't a major tourist draw, so heavy crowding isn't typically a concern.
What to combine it with
The bridge sits close to a cluster of riverside sights. Sông Vĩnh Điện is just 0.9km away, making it an easy add-on. Tran Thi Ly Bridge (1.8km) and Dragon River Bridge (3km) are both worth seeing if you're already touring the Han River's bridges, and comparing their different designs is part of the appeal. The Zone 5 Military Museum (2.4km) offers a change of pace if you want a break from the waterfront and some historical context on the region.
