Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah

The Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah is the mausoleum of the Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya. It serves as an active Islamic shrine and a center for pilgrimage. Travelers visit to observe the religious practices of Sufism and to experience the atmosphere of the complex, particularly during the performance of qawwali (devotional music) which typically takes place in the evenings.
Getting There
The shrine is located in South Delhi. From the city center, the most common way to reach the site is via auto-rickshaw or ride-sharing apps. Depending on the traffic conditions in Delhi, the journey generally takes between 30 to 60 minutes.
Visit Duration
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the complex and observe the rituals. If you plan to stay for a full qawwali session in the evening, you should allocate more time.
When to Visit
The site is visited by large numbers of pilgrims every week, and it becomes very crowded on Thursday evenings. To avoid the heaviest crowds, visit during weekday mornings. The most comfortable seasons for visiting are from October to March when temperatures are cooler.
