Fualefeke is a small island within the Funafuti Atoll in Tuvalu. Visitors go here to observe the natural island landscape and view the remaining traces of old structures. Because it receives few visitors, it provides a quiet environment compared to the main settlement.
Getting There
Access to the island is by boat from the Funafuti city centre. Travel time depends on the boat's speed and sea conditions, but it is a short trip across the lagoon.
Duration of Visit
A few hours are typically sufficient to allow enough time to walk across the island and view the ruins and coastline.
When to Visit
The island does not get crowded. Visitors should plan their trip around weather conditions and tide levels to ensure safe boat transit. It is advisable to visit during daylight hours for visibility of the structures.
