The Pyramid of Sahure is a mortuary monument built for the Pharaoh Sahure of Egypt's Fifth Dynasty. Located at Abusir, it represents the beginning of pyramid construction in this specific region. Visitors go here to see the architectural transition of the Old Kingdom and the results of the excavations led by Ludwig Borchardt in the early 20th century.

Getting There
