Bahá'í World Centre

The Bahá'í World Centre is the administrative and spiritual hub of the Baháʼí Faith. The site consists of several functional buildings, including offices and a library, alongside holy shrines. Visitors typically go to see the architectural complex and the landscaped gardens and terraces that surround the structures.

Getting There

The site is located on the slopes of Mount Carmel in Haifa. From the city centre, you can reach the complex via local bus or taxi. The Carmelit underground funicular. The journey generally takes between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the mode of transport and traffic.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to walk through the gardens and view the various buildings. The amount of time depends on how much of the terrace system you intend to climb or descend.

Timing Your Visit

Visiting during the early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat. The gardens are accessible year-round, though spring offers the most greenery. The site is a popular destination and can get crowded, particularly during peak tourist seasons and weekends.
